For the trinity landing kiosk, I created the structured illustrator file for svg export of the campus map. This included working with architects to obtain necessary assets for the campus plan, level plans, and unit plans (modifying where necessary). Once gathered, I began exploring the graphical look and feel for the map. I decided to render the map in a watercolor style keeping colors muted to fit with the brand and to express something of the local environment. I also developed an innovative approach by blending art elements and architectural elements to make good use of otherwise awkward screen space. These areas were filled with thematic illustrations that I created especially for this project. I also pioneered a technique for adding more detailed landscaping at zoom levels to add interest to the experience. In the process, I also created an expansive set of illustrator vector brushes to re-use on other projects.
